Thank you very much for the finacial donations to our library this past Chrsitmas. New books will be coming home very soon.

The form is available should you wish to donate funds for the library through the year.

Library Volunteers

Library volunteers are welcome once we are in the new library. Please contact Mrs. Elliott or the office to volunteer.

All volunteers require a current police check. Information can be obtained at the office.

Library Book Circulation Policy
  • Kindergarten students may take out one book during their library visit.
  • Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 may take out two books during their library visit.
  • Grades 6, 7, and 8 may take out 3 books during their libary visit.
  • Each class has a scheduled library time each week. Students are also welcome to exchange their books during the school day with their teacher's permission.
 
Library Book Reading Level Classification System
  • The fiction books are labeled with coloured labels to indicate the reading level.
  • Primary fiction are labeled with Red, Green, Blue and Yellow sticker that indicate a gradient of reading difficulty.
  • Books labeled FIC indicate appropriate content and reading level for grade 4, 5, and 6 students.
  • Books labeled with YA FIC indicate content and reading level approriate for grade 6, 7 and 8 students.

Students should ask Mrs. Elliott, teacher-librarian or their classroom teacher if they are unsure whether any book is approriate for their reading based on content and reading level.
